The MS Maccabi National Swimathon is a 12 hour team relay event held annually to support Maccabi Australia and people living with multiple sclerosis.
Multiple sclerosis is one of the most common diseases of the central nervous system with over 23,000 people living with the disease in Australia and more than two million diagnosed worldwide. There is currently no known cure for the disease, however there are several treatment options available to help manage symptoms. You can find out more about Multiple sclerosis via the What is MS? page.
Maccabi Australia exists to connect our Jewish community through sport. One of our key goals is to give as many athletes as possible the opportunity to represent Australia at the Maccabiah Games in Israel - the pinnacle of the Jewish sporting calendar internationally. This involves providing athletes with both a development pathway and financial support to help make this a reality.
